Glow Watch Co. was created to make a more affordable version of the worldtimer watch in a way that hasn't been done before. With a northern polar projection of earth including south of the meridian, the city names line up with each part of earth. This map style is more accurate and practical for navigation, being used since the days of Magellan. Only a handful of companies use this view of earth with city names lining up to the map, but none do it quite like this. The worldtimer was invented by Louis Cottier in 1931 and the function has gone on to be recreated and accomplished in various different ways following the first iteration, this is our version. Inspired by ancient cosmology and started in small town Missouri, USA.
This company stems from a worldtimer variation that we're the first to create. Checking every brand to make sure the idea hadn't been done became a love for watches and a growing sense of responsibility to produce the variation. The creator of the first worldtimer complication was commissioned by luxury brands Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin, while IWC has purchased a worldtimer idea. The world time complication has gone on to be recreated in multiple different ways, this is our version. Assembled in China, designed packaged and photographed (on iPhone) in America.
